Joe Thought for Today Bible Sunday the 26th of June, I was visiting one of our churches for an ordinations service and being a minister I was asked to fill in for one of the members of our ordaining council in the presentation of the Bible. I was caught off guard on what to say. Since that time I have been pondering the thought over in my mine. As I said that night many think the Bible contains the word of God, folks that is wrong, it is the word of God.
It should be our rule of practice, it should be precious to us, we should respect and protect it at all times. It should be a daily part of our lives. Our everyday diet. Notice what John says.
John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Matthew 5:6 (KJV) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Each time you read it you will find something new, it never gets old or out dated as some would have you believe.
It teaches you how to be born, to live and to die, it covers all occupations.
There are more copies sold than any other book.
Do you think a group of ten people with different languages over a one year span could be so closely netted together? No of corse not. Yet every Bible passage agrees with the others.
Have you ever wondered why or how this could happen? It is because man wrote it, but he isn’t the author, God Is.
